    You can never lose with this one- the burgers and fries are the absolute best. Treat yourself just know that there maybe a long line but well worth the wait

    One of the local favorites. They did a complete 180 on these zucchini sticks. Sometimes it was a hit or miss what kind you'd get that day all stuck together or just undercooked batter. But from my experience today I think they've got it locked down. That nice crunch not soggy and a pretty substantial size. They're friendly service with a smile makes the experience all the more enjoyable. They're always hustling in there. It has that old school drive thru so it may be somewhat of a puzzle to figure out how to maneuver through the parking lot but very doable. The outdoor seating area is no longer there. Which I think actually makes it look more open and clean. They do have inside seating which is limited. Overall a wonderful change from past visits.

    Last Friday, I volunteered at Feeding America in Riverside. I love to volunteer! I would do it more frequently if I live closer. Anyway, between the morning and afternoon shifts, I headed out for lunch. I couldn't decide where to go so I asked the Volunteer Coordinator where he normally goes for lunch. He said Johnny's Burgers. So here I am... Johnny's Burgers is a very small joint with a drive-thru. By the way, indoor dining is closed at this time. However, you can still walk in to order if you choose. You just can't dine in it. You can wait in it for your order though... yes I asked LOL. Drive-thru was very busy. I don't know how so many cars manage to get through the small space, but they do. Anyway, I decided to walk in and order. They don't just serve burgers... they offer pastrami, chicken & fish sandwiches, fries, fried zucchini, onion rings, and much more. I ended up getting the grilled chicken sandwich (they also have a fried option), fish sandwich (fried cod), and fried zucchini... a lot for one person, right?... not for me LOL... I always order extras for another meal. I love the fish sandwich... it was very tasty with fresh lettuce + tomatoes, but fish patty could have been thicker. It was a tad thin IMHO. Chicken sandwich had a good size filet, but was a tad dry. Fried zucchinis was the B*MB! They were covered with a light and delicious batter... so yummy! Ranch dressing was very light and tasty... I could drink it LOL... just perfect! And the portion was huge... big o bag worth of zucchinis! Though zucchinis could have be a bit firmer LOL. I couldn't eat everything so I brought home half grilled chicken sandwich and half fried zucchini... I know I still ate a lot LOL. Hey, I was busting my b*tt at Feeding America... gotta regain some energy for the afternoon shift! Staff was pleasant and helpful in answering my questions. Kitchen was small and there were about 7 people in there cooking up a storm. Everyone was working non-stop to get the orders out. They are one well oiled machine LOL! They remind me of EZ Take Out Burgers in Upland. Prices are very reasonable. Atmosphere is okay. Parking is available. They are located at the corner of the block. You can enter through both adjacent sides of the lot. I will definitely be back for more Johnny's the next time I'm in the neighborhood. Happy Eating!
